The resin chemistry backbone consists of highly stable DVB-Styrene with polar nitrile groups.
The large particles are optimal for preparative applications for both in adsorption in suspension or chromatographic processes.
With a new surface chemistry combination, this material offers a new selectivity for retaining and fractionating organic compounds. Its unique rigid structure allows effective binding in oily and organic solutions.
The combination of hydrophilic together with hydrophobic groups offers new interaction possibilities in terms of balance between those opposity polarities. Adsorption of molecules will differ from conventional polymeric reversed phase (RP) materials that are only based on cross-linked styrene. Also the desorption will differ and therefore this new material will offer novel selectivities for separation and fractionation.
