Screening of in-house resins

Redstone Separations AB has a large number of unique and high performing resins in-house for customer evaluations. These highly porous and rigid resins with different functional surface groups span a large variety of binding regimes that can cover a broad range of chemical species present in complex solutions.  These multi-purpose resins can be screened to evaluate them for their separation behaviour.  

Ready application testing

For certain applications and similar targets or matrices a promising resin is already developed and a clean-up already established, and the customer wants to evaluate their matrix or target compound solution with the specific resin. 

Redstone offers a custom service for this type of target and resin specific testing. 

If a resin shows promise, it can be further optimized in resin chemistry and architecture to further improve separation performance. This will be conducted in a separate custom project. 

Work flow of project

  1. Agreement of work-steps and quotation
  2. Customer sends samples of material to be purified
  3. In-house resin testing and provision of test report. 
  4. Further steps could be:
  5. Optimization of clean-up method for further performance, including additional development of new optimized/tailor-made resins
  6. Optimization of clean-up at lab scale
  7. Optimization of clean-up at pilot scale
Redstone delivers resin to customer and supports resin testing and/or implementation at customer site.
