TEMIZ DVB-NH2 MP Resin is a polymeric resin based on highly stable DVB-Styrene with polar weak anion exchange (WAX) primary amino-methyl groups.

The resin is characterized by its good rigidity and an exceptionally high loading of NH2 groups.
Application areas
TEMIZ DVB-NH2 is a multi-purpose resin for in separation, batch binding, solid phase synthesis or scavenging.
Scavenging of activated species such as acid chlorides or sulfonyl chlorides, aldehydes, anhydrides, chloroformates, isocyanates and ketones.
The functional group is a primary amine in free base form. It can bind acids, acidic phenols and other complementary compounds from complex and simple mixtures. Compared to strong anion exchangers, this resin might be better suited for very strong acids such as sulfonic acids.
A range of organic small molecules might be retained or separated such as nucleotides, lipids, carbohydrates, active pharmaceuticals, vitamins. Also the resin may bind heavy metals and
The surface amino-methyl group is a generic anchor for various solid support or solid phase synthesis applications of eg peptides, organic compounds or short oligos.
Used as an effective catalyst for Knoevenagel reactions and for Claisen rearrangements.
In addition, the material is versatile as the user can further modify the material or utilize it as carrier for novel ligands.
