Application areas

Temiz Tosylate is the resin bound version of p-toluene sulfonic (tosylic) acid and can be conveniently used instead of the soluble acid. As an acid catalyst it can be used for the synthesis of small molecules, with examples such as etherification or alkylation. 

Temiz Tosylate can also be used for quenching or scavenging of cationic organic molecules or other compounds as an alternative to soluble acids. It can be used in “catch and release” applications. The strong sulfonic acid groups are well accessible for removal of basic compounds such as amines including anilines, borohydrides, but also metals.

The high loading of well accessible tosylic acid groups in a stable resin matrix makes it an economically viable material with superior cost-in-use for different types of applications. The large particles are optimal for easy handling, fast sedimentation and preparative applications.
