Hydrophilic / hydrophobic spectrum concept overview
1. Fully hydrophilic with PDMA and aminoethyl functional groups
2. Mainly hydrophilic with PDMA backbone and aromatic hydrophobic benzyl amine functional groups
3. Mainly hydrophobic PS backbone with hydrophilic amide based amine functional groups
4. Mainly hydrophobic PS backbone with aromatic benzyl amine functional groups
Variations and combinations on rigidity/swelling, hydrophilicity tuning, loading and alternative surfache chemistries are possible to design and to provide for testing.
A speculation is that the adaptation to the right hydrophilicity / hydrophobicity balance might be beneficial for the synthesis of certain difficult peptides. We would appreciate a discussion, contact us.
